For this exhibition, all of the work is made from found materials. The fabrics are dyed using locally sourced natural dyes, including sumac berries, onion skins, and leftover coffee grounds. The dyed fabrics are then sewn together with drawings and images inspired by my experiences over the past year—a period of continually coping with change, adapting to a changing life, and finding new ways to preserve and store memories while honoring my natural environments.
